Mr. Gil-Mera, a licensed Professional Engineer and General Contractor in the State of Florida, is a Principal accountable for the administrative and organizational functions of the company. Mr. Gil-Mera has designed and managed multiple transportation projects for government and private clients.
He spent the first 14 years of his career working for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District VI on the production of roadway plans including minor design and major reconstruction projects. As Project Manager and Engineer of Record, Mr. Gil-Mera has been involved in multiple municipal design-build projects and is well aware of the efforts required to successfully complete them, including the work involved in related engineering disciplines such as drainage, structural design, and highway lighting.
He is a 1986 graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Mr. Gil-Mera’s professional affiliations include the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers (C-AACE).
